History

For more than eighteen years by now, maintech is working professionally in engineering hardware and software for communication and automotive industries.

2023 maintech software has been used in FPGA-based modulators for satellite applications (cubesats, probes) repeatedly. Today, electronical components are manufactured by maintech, too.

2022 Further automotive application tools are developed, such as maintech's MeLiBox, a Melexis Light Bus Debugging Tool.

2021 maintech's electronic laboratory is expanding. For prototype manufacturing and full control of its own development projects, maintech acquires an inhouse SMT production line.

since 2016 maintech develops further test systems (hardware and software) for automotive applications, e.g. a product line of HDMI to FPD-Link III and HDMI to FPD-Link IV converters. The converters are used in R&D departments in Europe, USA, Mexico and China.

2013 Software engineering for display and control panels for the automotive industry grows an important business area.

2012 maintech offers all standards of the second DVB generation: DVB S2, T2, C2.

2011 Besides DVB-S2 modulation, maintech now offers software for H.264 encoding.

2010 For automotive applications, maintech develops the MultiFM Modulator that generates up to 24 FM multiplexes, including TMC and RDS.

2010 maintech's working on the implementation of the new DVB2 standards and on further developments regarding IPTV.

2009 In development: DVB-Crypto (Conditional Access), Digital FM Modulation

2008 Licence agreements about the DVB-T IP-Core with different manufacturers of cable headend systems

2007 MiniMod is introduced: A universal modulator for DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T

since 2007 Development of a measurement system for the DVB-T and DAB coverage analysis (GEMAS) and for the qualification of automotive antennas (AMS)

since 2006 Cooperation with SR-Systems and development of the DVB systems. Development of IP-Cores for DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T

2006-2007 In cooperation with Dipl. Ing. Marcus Hasenstab: Development of an ARM-based Embedded-Linux system based on the Atmel processor AT91RM9200. Linux drivers were developed for all peripheral devices: SD-Card, ethernet, audio, I2C, SPI, 1wire, CAN etc.

2005-2006 Linux for POS systems (supermarket checkouts). On behalf of a large POS systems manufacturer, Red-Hat Linux was customised. Several drivers for checkout hardware were developed, e.g. barcode scanners, EC card readers, sales check printers etc.

2005 Formation of the maintech GmbH

2005 Linux on TomTom GO and consulting for TomTom. Development and contribution to the driver development for display, audio and Bluetooth. The audio and Bluetooth drivers are the basis of the hands-free equipment until today.

2004 wVPN, later nionet: Ethernet-L2 based VPN for WLAN and WAN connections. The clients are available as Windows service as well as embedded software for routers with MIPS architecture. The VPN representing a global ethernet bridge is able to transport all protocols.

2002 Hera: a software controller for climatic chambers for a well-known automotive manufacturer. The software runs a complete climatic program and records the testing progress with all its parameters.

1998 Formation of the maintech GbR
