Dear Customer,

thank you for subscribing maintech's hardware newsletter. Some time has passed since you have received our last newsletter, but our news are all the more interesting now:

First of all, we are proud to present the new SR-Systems PCB assembly facilities: We do prototypes, small and medium series in SMD and THT assembly, with reflow and wave soldering in-house now. Please see below for further information.

Furthermore, there are some new boards available: There's a DVB-S2 modulator board, the MidiMod, in stock now; and we can offer you some intelligent tuner NIMs for DVB-T, ATSC and DVB-S2 reception.

For those of you who have been waiting for compact boxes with integrated SR-Systems boards, Divibroad might be the right contact for you: See below for further information about Divibroad products with built-in SR-Systems boards.

And last but not least to documentation and firmware versions: There is a MidiMod User's Manual available now, and some new firmware versions for the MiniMod and the multiplexers.

1. SR-SYSTEMS PCB ASSEMBLY

In addition to circuit design and layout, SR-Systems offers now competent PCB assembly from prototypes to small and medium series, from single PCBs up to larger conponent groups. We provide SMD assembly (starting from chip type 0201), THT for through-hole-devices, BGA and even double-sided assembly of multilayer PCBs.

According to your requirements, you can choose between reflow and wave soldering, lead-free solder joints and, if required, leaded joints. See www.sr-systems.de for further information about our equipment and detailed pictures of the production facilities.

2. NEW BOARDS: DVB-S2 MODULATOR AND INTELLIGENT NIMS

For transmission in the new DVB-S2 standard, we are offering the new DVB-S2 Modulator MidiMod. The board provides QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK and 32APSK. With built-in 2channel multiplexer: two transport streams can be modulated simultaneously on DVB. Output frequency: 70-2200 MHz in steps of 1 kHz.

For DVB-S2, DVB-T and ATSC: Intelligent tuner NIMs. Standalone operating is possible; an ASI-Out module can be connected directly.

3. NEW COOPERATION WITH DIVIBROAD

SR-Systems products are now available in 19" housing. Divibroad, manufacturer of digital video broadcast equipment, uses specified SR-Systems boards in its equipment. All devices are produced according to the strict European CE and EMV standards. Divibroad is looking for further partners for its worldwide distribution.

TTX Inserter User's Manual:
See the manual for the SR-Systems Teletext Inserter that allows to extract analog Teletext from an ITU656 compatible video stream, convert the Teletext to the DVB Teletext format and insert it into the transport stream that is output by the SR-Systems MPEG encoder.

MiniMux: Firmware version 6.37: with improved MiniMod communications; with intelligent NIM support

MidiMux: Firmware version 6.09: with intelligent NIM support
