thank you for subscribing our hardware newsletter. Sorry we didn't provide much information lately, but we took the time to develop new boards and update existing ones.

Our new HDTV H.264 Encoder is available now; the matching decoder should be in stock in January 2012. There's a new version 5 of the established MPEG Encoder, and the SmartMPEG Decoder is now run by maintech software, too.

For measurement applications, maintech is offering now a Multi FM Signal Generator that modulates up to 24 separate stereo multiplexes – with RDS and TMC.

And last but not least to firmware versions: There are some new firmware versions for the DVB modulators and the multiplexers.

1 NEW BOARDS: HDTV H.264 ENCODER, MPEG ENCODER V5

For HDTV applications, we are offering the new H.264 Encoder. It's an economical board with only 3 W power consumption at the maximum. Supports HD, SD, PAL and NTSC with netto data rates from 1,5Mbit/s to 31Mbit/s. Resolution up to 1080p@60Hz. Standalone operation is possible.

2 SMARTMPEG ENCODER: NOW WITH MAINTECH SOFTWARE

The SR-Systems SMARTMPEG Decoder is now run by maintech software. The RS232 terminal control works reliably, NTSC is supported now.

3 MULTI FM MODULATOR

maintech's Multi FM Modulator modulates up to 24 seperate stereo multiplexes digitally. RDS and TMC encoder are included. It is best suited for channel list generation and AF tests. For series of tests and automated procedures, the Multi FM Box is equipped with an TCP interface.

4. LATEST FIRMWARE VERSIONS

Actual firmware versions for the SR-Systems boards are:

MiniMod: Firmware version 55.0: supports MPEG2 Encoder V5, H.264 Encoder

MidiMod: Firmware version 1.9: supports MPEG2 Encoder V5, H.264 Encoder

MiniMux: Firmware version 6.38: supports MPEG2 Encoder V5

MidiMux: Firmware version 6.09: supports MPEG2 Encoder V5, H.264 Encoder
